The Malden Teen Enrichment Center (MTEC) at One Salem Street will host a reception on Saturday, Nov. 24 following the Parade of Holiday Traditions. The event will be open to the public.

After only four months of construction, the new MTEC is ready for public viewing. An opening reception will be hosted following this Saturday’s Thanksgiving parade, which starts at noon and will end at MTEC at One Salem Street. “This will give the public an opportunity to look at the inside of the site, and I think people will love it,” said Councillor-at-Large Greg Lucey.

The interior construction is very close to complete, and it will be the first chance for members of the public to walk around, while enjoying hot chocolate and refreshments at the nearly 5,000 square-foot MTEC.

The 9th Annual Parade of Holiday Traditions will start from Maplewood Street then go left onto Salem Street and end at the corner of Salem, Main, and Ferry streets. The reviewing stand will be located in front of Salem, Main, and Ferry Streets. The parade will start at noon this Saturday, November 24.
